Visit By The Fellows Of The U.S. Embassy's "Professional Fellowship Program For Multiply-Disadvantaged People"
"On June 30, the British Embassy of Budapest welcomed the participants of the U.S. Embassy’s "Professional Fellowship Program for Multiply-Disadvantaged People" for a day-long visit.

Upon a short briefing from the Transport and Security Manager, Ms. Éva Balázs and Mr. József Angyal met with HM Ambassador Greg Dorey, who informed them about his work and background, answered questions about bilateral relations and inquired about the fellows' programme and goals in the future. They also exchanged thoughts on minority related issues in Hungary.

The fellows then visited with the members of the United Kingdom Trade and Investment Section (UKTI) and were explained the work of UKTI, after which they were briefed about the Consular Section’s responsibilities.

Following an informal and interactive lunch with the Policy Officers of the Mission, the Corporate Services section explained to Ms. Balázs and Mr. Angyal their duties and everyday operations, upon which the Public Diplomacy section briefed the fellows about the ins and outs of PR work and media relations.

The eventful visit was concluded by a meeting with the head of the British Council, Mr. Simon Ingram-Hill, with whom the fellows discussed the importance of cultural diplomacy."
