Hungarian Socialists Slam First 60 Days Of Cabinet
"Socialist Party economic policy section head Imre Szekeres described the first 60 days of the cabinet as “disastrous from an economic point of view” at the beginning of the week.

Since the cabinet was formed, those with foreign-currency loans are out of pocket by an estimated Ft 800 billion, Szekeres said

A large part of the bank tax will be paid by loan takers and deposit holders, he added.

In recent weeks many banks have said they cannot and will not pass the costs of the bank tax on to the population, government spokeswoman Anna Nagy replied."
