Bratislava Buses Cross Hungarian Border
- 4 Oct 2010 1:00 AM
"A local bus service from the Slovak capital Bratislava began to make stops at Rajka, a village in Hungary, on Friday. The European Regional Development Fund provided a €380,000 subsidy that covers 95% of the costs. Some 600 Slovak nationals live in Rajka, which has a population of 3,000, town mayor Lajos Bazsó noted.
The line 801 operates between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. on workdays and less frequently at weekends. A ticket costs €1.50. The bus company already operates its 901 service to Wolfstahl and Hainburg in Austria."
