Horse-Breeding, Horse Racing Exhibition, Hungarian Agricultural Museum, Now On

In the 19th century, in the age of the embourgeoisement, the relationship between man and horse changed. The role of horses expanded: in addition to the army, agriculture and transportation also required horses. This was the time when the majority of the equestrian and horse sports gained in popularity.
A civilian use of horses became part and parcel of a new type of recreational activity. In modern times, the relationship between man and horse gained new meaning, as did the relationship to animals in general. Horses gained a wider role in recreation, maintaining good health, and in therapeutic treatments.
The exhibition includes educational and drama-pedagogical programmes.
Open until 31/10/2010."
