Tesco In Hungary Fined Over Tainted Poultry
"The agricultural authority MGSZH has fined hypermarket chain Tesco Ft 850,000 for having sold nearly 300kg of poultry tainted by faeces at its Dunaújváros outlet. Magyar Nemzet accuses Tesco of not complying with the order to withdraw all similar products.

The poultry sold at a discount came from three suppliers, but problems occurred with only one supplier, said veterinarian Zoltán Gombos of the Fejér County MGSZH.

Tesco paid the fine and financially punished some of its workers to cover part of the penalty, Gombos added."
