UPC To Purchase Network Of Fibernet In Hungary
"UPC will buy a third of the cable television network of Fibernet Kommunikációs, the two cable companies announced Saturday. The transaction could be completed in the first quarter of 2011 after receiving the ap-proval of the competition office GVH.

Fibernet provides cable television, broad-band internet and telephone services to over 150,000 households.
UPC is purchasing a network capable of servicing 166,000 households and with 80,000 subscribers at present, Napi Gaz-daság notes.

Invitel’s Hungarian subsidiary bought Fi-bernet on Friday and passed a third of the network to its newly acquired company on Saturday, Népszabadság observes. "
