Hungarian Government Rehires Disgraced MP
"Fidesz former Szolnok mayor Attila Várhegyi, who was convicted in 2010 of misuse of funds, has been hired to help the communications of the Media Service and Asset Management Fund for the next six months.

His communications company Prestige Média has received several contracts from Fidesz-run cities, including Pécs and Hódmezővásárhely, in recent years, the newspaper adds.

Várhegyi, a former chairman of the Fidesz national council and state secretary for culture in the first Orbán cabinet, resigned his MP’s seat in the autumn of 2010 when a court gave him a suspended jail term after convicting him of misuse of funds."
