Hungarian PM Orbán To Skip Pro-Government Rally On Saturday
"Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has turned down a request to speak at the pro-government rally planned for Saturday afternoon. Organisers of the Peace March for Hungary are urging everyone to whom the country’s independence and advancement matter to come out in support of the government and against outside interference.

Organiser Zsolt Bayer, a columnist with Magyar Hírlap, said anyone who would not like the IMF to choose a prime minister should be at the demonstration.

The crowd will gather at Heroes Square before proceeding to Kossuth tér via Andrássy út at 4 p.m.

The Green Left Wing and the Workers Party 2006 will hold a press briefing on Kossuth tér at 2.30 p.m. and place some boards there before the pro-government demonstrators arrive.

Orbán’s spokesman Péter Szijjártó said the cabinet is pleased to see ordinary people standing up for Hungary, but, as this will be a civil event, Orbán will not address the crowd."
