LMP Activists Charged By Police In Budapest
"The 14th District police have launched misdemeanour proceedings against LMP activists who were caught placing a sign reading Új ellenállás (“new resistance”) on statues on Heroes Square on Sunday.

Similar signs with quotations linked to the person portrayed were placed on 24 Budapest public statues on Saturday night.

MP Bernadett Szél was among those charged.

LMP confirmed the report in a press statement, noting that it wants to highlight that the new year means that Fidesz is cementing its own power with the new Basic Law.

LMP first called for “new resistance” on December 23, when party members chained themselves to a barrier outside Parliament."
