Nine others in the tour group, including one Hungarian, were not injured and have been transported from the region.
The two Hungarians killed are Tamás Fábián, an instructor at Szeged University, and dermatologist Gábor Szabad.
Ethiopian authorities blamed outlaws trained by the Eritrean government for the incident. Eritrea has vigorously rejected that claim.
The Hungarian survivors of the attack could arrive in Hungary Thursday morning, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
Spokesman Péter Szijjártó said one of the Hungarians was killed instantly, while the other died of his wounds due to a lack of medical treatment.
A three-member Hungarian Anti-Terrorist Centre team has been sent to Ethiopia.
Centre chief János Hajdu said the tourists had been travelling without an armed escort when they were fired upon."
