Subcontractors On Strike In Debrecen, Hungary

"Arcadom, the main contractor for construction of a second tram line in Debrecen, has promised to pay its subcontractors, who plan to stage public protests on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Subcontractors waiting for a total of Ft 900 million have suspended work, saying they face bankruptcy.
Debrecen mayor Lajos Kósa called on Arcadom to pay its subcontractors within two weeks.
The Ft 7.5 billion project started in the autumn of 2010."
