Top 10 Kids’ Birthday Parties In Budapest, Part III
"As you may have noticed, every day I’m recommending one outdoor and one indoor venue for birthday parties. Here are two very special ones for your very special child!

5. Budakeszi Vadaspark Wild Animal Park and the Bagolyvár Birodalom: The wild animal park in Budakeszi is a great place to go with your kids any time of year, but is particularly great in summer because it’s super-shady and cool. For parties, there’s the Bagolyvár Birodalom, or Owl Kingdom, located in a log cabin at the entrance to the park.

The friendly instructors will set up any program you wish, including a tour of the park or a treasure hunt in the nearby forest, and then bring the kids back to the log cabin for cake or crafts. I’ve had two Halloween parties there, and we went on a flashlight tour as darkness was falling, and played lots of games in the forest in the dark, in costumes!

Then we made Halloween decorations and carved pumpkins and had Halloween goodies in the cabin. Fantastic! The website (Hungarian only) is www.bagolyvar-birodalom.hu, or email them  to arrange something in English.

The animal park’s website is also only in Hungarian, unfortunately, www.vadaspark-budakeszi.hu. Hint if you’re just visiting the park – here’s the link to feeding and training times for the animals, with pictures (no need to read Hungarian). http://www.vadaspark-budakeszi.hu/etetesi-es-trening-idopontok

6. Csodák Palotája, or Palace of Wonders: This interactive science museum is small compared to those in other cities, but perfect for school-age children for an afternoon. Ride a car with square wheels, jump like you’re on the moon, make music out of light, and see a colorful body-heat image of yourself. There is a birthday party space that overlooks the exhibition atrium. My daughter, 8, has been to one birthday party and one class party there and parents, teachers and kids all had a great time.

The actual website, www.csodakpalotaja.hu, is only in Hungarian, but there is information about the venue and birthday party arrangements on the Millenáris website: http://www.millenaris.hu/archives-of-articles/palace-of-wonders/.

Stay tuned for more tomorrow! If you’ve got a favorite spot for a party, let us know by commenting here or on the AdriKnows Facebook page (please click on LIKE on the right side of this blog). Happy Birthday to you, whenever yours may be!"
