Hungarian PM: Debt Can Destroy A Nation
- 18 Jun 2012 9:02 AM
Orban called for fighting debt without compromise and keeping the budget deficit under control. He added that external financial dependence must not restrict the state from using funds from multiple sources including internal savings, financial taxes, the IMF and eastern partners.
Orban indicated that a Hungarian government delegation and a business team expect to travel to Kosovo in the autumn.
The Western Balkans’ accession to the EU via Central Europe will be a key issue and Hungary will do its best to help the region in general and Kosovo in particular to integrate as quickly as possible, Orban remarked.
Thaci said Kosovo is a young and stable country, where it is worth investing in mining, the energy sector and the road network, and despite the economic crisis it has stood its ground and managed to achieve 5% economic growth in recent years.
