On December 16th 2011, Julio Iglesias receives two historic awards from Sony Music: Best-selling Latin
artist in History (over 300 million albums) and Best-selling artist in Spain (23 million albums). Rafa Nadal hands over both awards to him, in a very emotional ceremony, at the Cervantes Institute in Madrid.

On December 31st 2011, Julio Iglesias is received by the President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, before the
beginning of the New Year concert in the city of Batumi. Saakashvili congratulated the megastar on the New Year`s
Eve, spoke with him in his native language and showed him the Art Center of Batumi.

Later, an extraordinary concert was held at the Wonderland Square of the city, in which famous Georgian and foreign performers participated along with the Spanish singer. The President of Georgia and over 50.000 people attended the show.
