Steve Morse

Steve Morse is an American guitarist and composer, best known as the founder of the Dixie Dregs and the newest member of Deep Purple. Morse’s career has encompassed rock, country, funk, jazz, classical and a fusion of these musical genres. In addition to his thriving solo career, his time with Deep Purple and the Dixie Dregs, he enjoyed a brief stint with Kansas in the mid 80s.

Morse is considered one of the world’s hardest working guitarists. He is widely known for his stylistically diverse compositional skills and virtuosic playing abilities. He was voted “Best Overall Guitarist” by Guitar Player magazine for five years in a row, qualifying him to join Steve Howe of Yes and Eric Johnson in their “Guitar Player Hall of Fame.”

John Petrucci regularly cites him as a major influence and guitarist Shawn Lane regards Morse as one of the most talented guitarist of his time. Throughout the years, Morse has continually proven his genius – mastering complex chord structures in classical sequences and conquering fast, alternate picking arpeggios. Even after 47 albums, Morse continues to push boundaries and take chances. In addition to his continuing solo endeavors, collaborative projects and further work with Deep Purple – Steve can look back on an extraordinary career, and forward to near-infinite possibilities.

Steve Vai

As a Grammy award-winning guitar virtuoso with career sales of over 15 million records, Steve Vai’s sheer breathtaking facility on the guitar is acclaimed in the rock world and beyond. Starting with his groundbreaking “Passion and Warfare” album in 1990, and throughout the years since, Vai has consistently used music as a microscope peering into the human spirit. Vai’s virtuosity has earned him honorary doctorates from Berklee College of Music, Musician’s Institute, and over a dozen Grammy nominations.

While Vai clearly had what was needed to make indelible impressions during his stays with Frank Zappa and David Lee Roth, it’s as a solo artist that he’s made his most precious contributions. Each of his solo releases is unique, compelling, and even when looking darkness square in the face, genuinely uplifting. His latest live album and DVD project, “Where the Wild Things Are” is a major achievement from a musical alchemist of the highest order. In addition to his recording career, Steve is involved with many worthwhile organizations. He is a former Trustee for NARAS (National Academy of the Recording Arts and Sciences), is on the board of Hollywood Arts and works closely with his own Make a Noise Foundation, raising money for music education.

Joe Satriani

Satriani, who cites Jimi Hendrix as a major influence, quickly established his reputation as one of rock’s most important guitarists.
