Congratulations To Hungary For Their Great Olympic Achievements

The Hungarian Team finished in a very distinguished 9th place in the medal count. Securing 17 medals including 8 golds was an extraordinary performance considering the size of the country, and indeed Hungary was the most successful country overall in the kayak and canoe competition. We hope all participants enjoyed taking part in the London Olympics as much as we did following them on television.
British Ambassador Jonathan Knott commented on the Hungarian success:
“We have seen some incredible achievements with Dániel Gyurta setting a world record in the 200m men’s breaststroke, Éva Risztov winning the women’s 10km marathon swim, Abigél Joó’s superhuman judo fight after being injured and the astonishingly tight match of the Hungarian Men’s Handball Team against Iceland. Congratulations to all participants of the Hungarian Olympic Team! You did GREAT!”
