Invitation: Jazz In The Palace Of Arts Budapest, 20 August
- 6 Aug 2012 9:00 AM
On the outdoor Main Stage, the show kicks off with the Little Jazz Band, an upbeat seven-piece group of young musicians who’ve been playing together since they were teenagers in 1995. Their leader – trombonist, pianist and singer Attila Korb – has won numerous prizes, among them the Kobe Jazz Street Award.
Over at the Banner Square, the Tamás Meleg Quintet take the stage, having already appeared at this year’s Müpa Jazz Showcase, while Tzumo Árpád Oláh, the well-established but still young local piano star, turns up the heat with his trio in the Glass Hall. As has become customary over the years, the bands will be joined by outstanding guest soloists on selected numbers.
Entry to the concerts is free.
