Fewer Murders In Hungary So Far This Year

The number of murders has dropped by over 20% nationwide, and by over 40% in Budapest, an Interior Ministry source reports. Police registered 76 murders from January to August, compared to 97 in the same period of last year, while the Budapest figures dropped from 26 to 15.
The number of crimes committed in public areas fell in the first eight months from 67,460 to 64,433.
