The number of fully electric cars in Hungary has risen to 66,500, the Energy Ministry said in a post on social media on Monday.

Alone in October, 1,951 BEVs were registered in Hungary.

The number of BEVs could reach 120,000 by 2026, the ministry said.

Hungary's government has earmarked HUF 60bn for programmes promoting electromobility, including incentives for BEV purchases and expanding charging infrastructure.
