Andras Des is the king of percussionists among the new generation. This fantastic and imaginative musician was not only cheered to the rafters both at the 2003 and 2008 London Jazz Festivals but professional musicians in the audience also wanted to tempt him over to the UK. He is a fantastic polyrhythmic player but also a musician of ideas.
Bela Piri bassist and bass-guitar player back from Australia after 14 years from where he toured the world over, reunites with Zsolt, his old stablemate.
Entry fee: 1200 forints
The new venue is in the 13th District at Hollán Ernő utca 7 on the premises of the old Odeon Lloyd cinema.
There is no compulsion to eat and drink but there is a well stocked bar with also cocktails made to order at non-extortionate prices. For food you’ll have to resort to a staple diet of crisps and nuts.
