Hungary's U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief Of Mission Visits Pecs

Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) Timothy A. Betts visited Pecs on October 29 and participated in the inaugural session of the Teleki Lecture Series launched by the University of Pecs. He also met Mayor Pava and toured the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter. Its Director, Istvan Marta, expressed gratitude for the Embassy’s financial support for a master class and workshop to local music students by the U.S. based Kronos String Quartet during its tour to Pecs.
Later, DCM Betts visited the local American Corner, which provides comprehensive information about the United States and advises students on educational opportunities in the U.S. The DCM also met with Law Faculty students and discussed the upcoming U.S. election.
