Free Parking In Budapest During Christmas Season

No parking fees apply from 22 December 2012 until 1 January 2013 with the exception of the parking areas below Buda Castle and the Citadella in District I; the parking area in front of Budagyöngye shopping centre in district II; the parking area next to Flórián shopping centre in District III; the Margitsziget parking area in District XIII; and the section of 56-osok tere between Hősök tere and Benczúr utca in District XIV, where regular fees apply.
The bus parking area on 56-osok tere will be closed due to a charity event (“Mikulásgyár”) until 24:00 on 27 December and reopened from midnight on 28 December 2012.
In addition to the above, regular parking fees apply at the guarded P+R facilities operated by BKK (Hűvösvölgy terminus, Újpest-Városkapu metro station, Kőbánya-Kispest metro station).
