Dutch Woman Charged With Murder in Budapest - Stabbed Older Partner in Back

Budapest's chief prosecutor has charged a 45-year-old Dutch woman suspected of killing her partner in Budapest last February. The prosecution office said that since 2019 the woman had been in a relationship marred by conflicts with a man 10 years her senior.
Having travelled from the Netherlands to Budapest on Feb 18 last year, they checked into their accommodation in the 7th district and then went out and consumed a large amount of alcohol.
Back in the apartment at dawn, they argued and this turned heated. The suspect took a knife from her bag and stabbed her partner in the shoulder and back.
She screamed for help when she saw the man lose consciousness, and neighbours called for help. The man lost his life shortly afterwards.
The prosecutor has charged the woman with the crime of homicide and is seeking a prison sentence without the possibility of parole, the statement said.
