Getronics Wins Road Toll Tender In Hungary

Getronics has won the electronic road toll tender with its Ft 34.98 billion bid, state motorway manager ÁAK announced on Saturday. The contract will probably be signed on December 27, with construction to start in early spring, and the system should be ready by July 1, 2013, ÁAK added. The new Getronics system will use satellite GNSS/GPS technology. Getronics will use the Q-Free ASA system from Norway, Népszabadság has learnt.
Getronics built the present system of motorway monitoring cameras. Registration of trucks heavier than 3.5 tons will begin in May and the system will be tested in June.
