Minimum Wage Hike In Hungary May Be Gradual

It is possible that the minimum wage will be increased only in the middle of next year in certain sectors, state news agency MTI reported from the Monday meeting of employer, employee and government representatives. The later increase would apply in low-wage industries such as textiles, agriculture and retail.
The planned increase in the minimum wage is 5.2%, Magyar Hírlap reports, a rise from Ft 93,000 to about Ft 97,800.
