Tokaj-Hegyalja Market Gets In Festive Mood This Sunday
This Sunday’s Tokaj-Hegyalja market provides the ideal excuse for a pre-Christmas trip to Hungary’s UNESCO-listed wine region and the opportunity to pick up presents made by local artisans, as well as world-class wines.

Held around the Sárga Borház on the Disznókő Estate on Road 37 every second Sunday of the month, the Tokaj Hegyalja Market started in April this year and has already become a meeting place loved by visitors and producers. All the artisan producers come from the county, plus a 40km range.

They offer a colourful selection of the best products on offer in the region: cheese (cow, sheep, goat) and meats, jams and honeys, oils and vinegars, even freshly milled organic spelt flour (not available in many places!); ceramics and wooden delights, jewellery and clothes, toys and games, soaps and much more. Over 60 producers are regulars at the market.

Adventi MARKET: Sunday 9th December, 10am-3pm
Come and meet the producers, discover unique products

Taster from the programme:
- decorate the market Christmas tree
- Mária Kolbása – exhibition of winter and occasion wraps above the Sárga Borház
- Borókás Társulat will provide the live music – folk from Hungary and neighbouring peoples
- taste Disznókő wines in the Wine Boutique
- warm up with mulled wine and hot chocolate
- taste and buy homemade Christmas sweets to hang on the tree
- 10-12 Adventi handcraft workshop with Judit Kóra and Kincs-Ő
- 10.30 carol-singing with the Miskolci Belvárosi Evangélikus Gyülekezet choir

This will be the last market in 2012 but the market will be back next year too.

It is a place to find out more about the treasures the Tokaj region has to offer, meet the producers and fill your basket with delights – as well as be part of a growing community who appreciate the unique quality of market shopping.
