The Prime Minister stressed that the Hungarian State is currently doing well in handling the state of emergency. He added that in such a situation the minimum requirement is that the State should function flawlessly.

According to the Prime Minister, the next two days will be the biggest test for those taking part in flood defence activities. He emphasised that the most important aspect of operations continues to be that human life should not be endangered by the flooding. He also informed the press that no rain is expected in the next 2-3 days, which means that defence operations can probably continue under favourable conditions.

The National Technical Management Corps (OMIT) announced today that defence operations are being carried out continuously and according to plan.
