Hungarian Authorities Prepare For Grand Prix Weekend
A temporary police station will operate from a car park located near the Mogyoród race track during the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix, Pest county police announced on Wednesday. Official race events begin on Friday with the first free trials at 10 a.m., followed by the second at 2 p.m., and the third at 11 a.m. Saturday. Time trials will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday and the race starts at 2 p.m., Sunday.

Consumer protection authorities will conduct strict checks during the weekend’s event, Pest county government commissioner Richárd Tarnai announced.

For the first time, minors will be employed in monitoring alcohol and tobacco retail outlets. Taxi services will also be checked.

Last year authorities found that 68% of companies operating at or near the race track were guilty of legal violations.
