Family Programmes On St Stephen's Day, Budapest, 20 August
Visitors are offered a variety of folk dance shows and concerts on Clark Ádám Square. Stilts parade, inauguration of Hungary’s birthday cake, traditional dancers, folk singers, and the performance of the popular TV production, School of Singing will offer real family entertainment.

On the stage set up on Clark Ádám Square, children of all ages will be greeted by a great variety of programmes.

Are you thoroughly familiar with the everyday life of the Mézga family? Do you know everything about Süsü and the most precious secrets of the Dörmögő family and their friends? Now you can meet not only them but also the presenters of Children’s World News on children’s channel M2, as well as Süsü, the famous one-headed dragon. Test your knowledge! Napsugár, Anna and Fefe will give a present to everyone who knows the right answers! You can not only win but also be photographed with Süsü and have a glimpse of how Children’s World News is made as Napsi and her friends will be shooting on Clark Ádám Square all day.

Our national holiday awaits the audience with a concert of Hungarian sentimental songs and operettas. Performers: Ibolya Nagy, operetta prima donna, Emese Szöllősi and Péter Dócs, singers of Hungarian sentimental songs, and vocal artist László Tarnai Kiss, Editor-in-charge of Dankó Radio.

Performance by the “Peacock Variations” talent show

After Washington and Paris, the young folk artists of the public media’s talent show will perform again for the public in Budapest on the occasion of Saint Stephen’s Day. Well-known from Duna TV, the bands, musicians and singers will give a tremendous show to tune viewers up for the fireworks at 9 pm. Public media channels will broadcast both events live.

Concert of Ákos at Dózsa György Square

At the venue of the concert, by the statue of György Dózsa (1st district) the ceremonial fireworks will be displayed on screens.
