Hungary's Gov’t To Ban Tobacco Sales From Malls
The government is planning to amend rules to ban tobacco retail outlets from shopping malls and their immediate vicinity from January, Magyar Hírlap reported. Tobacco shops would not be allowed to operate within 100 metres of schools.

The government was planning to make changes, citing the protection of minors as the reason, but sources told Népszabadság that the cabinet is only trying to level the playing field, as kiosks close to shopping malls and hypermarkets have a disproportionately high share of cigarette sales.
