See What Happened @ Hungarian Design Management In Budapest
Ever since Laszlo Biro first designed the ballpoint pen, Hungary has had a passion for design. The annual Hungarian Design awards took place in the equally beautiful Műcsarnok, a place fitting in its style and grandeur for these passionate and talented designers to showcase their work.

They say “the devil is in the detail” but these designers were not so much devils but people who really care about their work and the attention to detail that goes into everything they do.

On show were a variety of pieces ranging from raincoats, triangular prisms, urban lifestyle, typography furniture, watches, innovatively worked concrete and many more.

Hosted by the chairman of the jury, Andras Szalai, who gave some poignant and kind words to the various designers, as we took a guided tour around the exhibition, and before the work went on show to the public.

Design has to be functional, original and aesthetic. The standard was high here but then again, this is what you would expect of top designers.
