Hungary's Kúria To Define Principles On Forex Mortgages

The Kúria will formulate general principles regarding foreign-currency mortgage loans, to be used as guidelines by lower courts in lawsuits brought by borrowers against banks, it was announced yesterday.
The Kúria will debate the legal questions on December 16, after which the cabinet will decide on another aid package for debtors.
The court will consider seven questions, including the fundamental issue of whether such mortgage contracts are valid under Hungarian law.
