Long Empty Culture Complex Opens In Budapest
The Pest riverside cultural and commercial complex that has sat empty since it was completed in 2010 was opened on Friday. The building, formerly known as CET, and renamed the Bálna (“Whale”) has been a victim of a dispute between its developer and the city of Budapest.

Deputy mayor Gábor Bagdy said the striking new centre, designed by Dutch architect Klaas Oosterhuis, could be “Budapest’s Eiffel Tower”.
