István Simicskó, minister of state for sport, emphasized that the gold reserve of a country is always in the young generation and especially in those who do sport on a high level parallel with their studies. At the same time he also raised the attention of those young sportsmen and sportswomen that although they have started their career and life in a successful way, they have the chance to become positive role models, but they also have responsibility for using their talents in the right way.

During the celebration those students of elementary and secondary schools in Budapest received acknowledgments who were golden medallists of the 2012/2013 school year national Student Olympics. All together 23 individual, 13 team sport athletes and also their coaches were given awards by István Simicskó, Gábor Balogh, András Varga and György Nébald, president of the Club of the Olympic Champions.
