Hungary's PM: EU Enlargement A Common European Interest
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán argued for free trade agreements and the further expansion of the EU at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius on Friday.

He said the European economy is not competitive without EU enlargement, although many in Western Europe are opposed to the further expansion of the EU.

Regarding Ukraine’s late decision against signing a co-operation agreement with the EU, Orbán said it must be acknowledged that Ukraine has a different political culture, its society and economy are organised in a different way, “therefore if we want to co-operate with it which has failed now we need more time, patience and mutual adjustment”.
