Pear In Focus In Hungary At Pálinka For 2014 Competition

Pear has been selected as the fruit of choice for the 2014 Pálinka (eau-devie) competition which has attracted several dozens of Hungarian distillers.
The jury picked the following seven distillers to combine their gold-winning Pálinkas into one drink: Gusto, Nobilis, Márton and daughters, Csalló, Tokaj- Hegyalja, Schiszler and Harmatrázó.
A total of 1,500 numbered bottles will be prepared and the drink will be first available for tasting at the Budapest Pálinka Festival in Erzsébet Square between May 15 and 18 next year.
