Vehicle Exports Boost Trade Surplus In Hungary

The trade surplus widened to €830 million in September, the highest figure since February 2011, as exports rose 12.7% to €7.3 billion and imports 12% to €6.5 billion, according to final data from the Central Statistics Office.
Preliminary data showed a surplus of €847 million. The figure in the same month of last year was €715 million.
September’s result lifted the surplus for the first nine months to €5.3 billion, an increase of €67 million, year-on-year, as exports were up 3.6% and imports 4.1%.
