US Congressman Commends Hungary’s PM For Actions Against Anti-Semitism
Mario Diaz-Balart, a Republican US House Representative for Florida, has commended Hungarian premier Viktor Orbán and his government for actions taken to combat anti-Semitism.

In a statement, the US politician said that under Orbán’s leadership “Hungary has stressed a zero-tolerance policy toward anti-Semitic attitudes, and has focused on law enforcement and legal measures, Holocaust education and remembrance, and support for Jewish cultural renaissance in Hungary.”

Diaz-Balart said that Orbán and his government had taken numerous actions to ensure dignified retirement for Holocaust survivors, noting among them a 50% pension increase and the agreement on compensation of Holocaust survivors living in foreign countries.

“Prime Minister Orbán is taking a leading role in the battle against anti- Semitic voices in Europe and throughout the world,” Diaz-Balart wrote.
