Hungarian Inventor Wins Copyright Lawsuit
Inventor László Oroszi has won a copyright lawsuit after 12 years against German sporting goods manufacturer Adidas over designs for football boots. The Capital Court ruled on January 30 that the Adidas’s Predator Precision and Predator Mania boots illegally relied on Oroszi’s invention.

The 12 years of court cases almost bankrupted him, Oroszi told reporters.

He developed the special football footwear in 1995-96, featuring rubber ribs on the top of the boot.

Adidas asked him for samples and copied the technology in models launched in 2000-01, according to the lawsuit.
