Hungarian Parliament Adopts New House Rules
At its last session in the parliamentary cycle on Thursday, the national assembly passed new house rules, which will take effect when Hungary’s next parliament is set up after the upcoming elections. Under the new rules, a parliamentary majority will decide how often the assembly should meet.

The new legislation also eliminates detailed discussions from plenary sessions, while proposed changes, following evaluation by relevant committees, will go before a new legislative committee of parliament.

The assembly will then discuss and vote on the final proposal tabled by the new committee.
