The office said that it was continuously assessing the situation on the Hungarian market to secure safe gas supply and prepares forecasts for an unexpected disturbance of deliveries from the Ukraine or for extreme weather.

The country imports significant quantities of gas from Europe through Austria in addition to Russian gas via Ukraine, the authority said.
