Costes Restaurant In Budapest - Quality Without Compromises
Costes came, checked it out and convinced, at least the Michelin critics for sure. And the thing they've done is not less than have firmly placed Hungary on the international culinary map. Costes, being a culinary gem for making Raday street world famous, has been the first to prove to the wide world’s gourmet that our little country was also worth a tasting.

Its story starts back in 2008 when the owners decided to open this culinary treasure, which to this day, continues to win local and international awards. By combining the modern international cuisine with the Hungarian taste and upraising it all to a masterpiece level, Costes has made a place for Hungary in the world of top gastronomy.

One and a half years later Costes won its first "Restaurant of the Year" award by the Dining Guide. The international recognition did not wait too long: in 2010, the Michelin Guide awarded Costes a Michelin star - the first ever for any Hungarian restaurant.

The recognition by the Michelin Guide was repeated in March 2011, 2012 and also in 2013. In the meantime the restaurant also gained several major international and local awards, like the Austrian Gault Millau Guide’s 17/20 points in 2010, listed our restaurant among the highest quality ones and 18/20 points in 2011 being the best restaurant in the region and the first place in three successive years in the ‘Alexandra Guide’, which is the most renowned listing of restaurants in Hungary.

All the awards and accolades prove the unique talent and commitment of the Portuguese Chef, Miguel Rocha Viera, who was trained and taught - among many other renowned restaurants across Europe - by one of the world’s best and most famous chef Ferran Adriá at a three Michelin star restaurant El Bulli. Miguel and his dedicated team have been for 5 years unwaveringly and passionately collaborating in order to ensure the successful operation of the restaurant.

Often called the “Miracle of Raday Street” Costes is not only the best restaurant in the country but also offers a choice of more than 300 different wines from all over the country and the world, including some little known treasures in the Hungarian industry.

A restaurant that represents quality without compromises, masterful tastes, artistic presentation, attention to details, mindful service, pleasant atmosphere and an informal and calm fine dining experience really deserves the glory.
