Expat EU Citizens In Hungary Have Until May 9 To Register For EP Election
Non-Hungarian citizens of EU countries who have a residence in Hungary have one week left to register to vote in the upcoming European parliamentary elections, the National Elections Office (NVI) said on Friday. The deadline for submitting the registrations either in person in the local election office or by mail is 4pm on May 9.

Registrations can also be submitted online at www.valasztas.hu. Those that register can vote for Hungarian parties’ EP lists.

The NVI said it advised the over 107,000 EU citizens about their voting option in Hungary in January.

Until Friday noon, a total of 5,008 EU citizens submitted their registration to vote on May 25, the date of the EP election in Hungary, the NVI said.
