Govt Backs Reconstruction Of Metro Line 3 In Budapest

He said the Budapest city council had been unable to draw up the documents necessary for the investment and suggested that Budapest mayor István Tarlós should lobby Brussels just as his predecessor, Gábor Demszky, had done.
Tarlós told Saturday's Magyar Nemzet that the city would find a solution to the problem of the reconstruction of metro line 3 jointly with the prime minister just as it had solved the problems of metro line 4 previously. "It is not true that any of our development plans will be scrapped," Tarlós told the paper.
On Friday deputy state secretary Nándor Csepreghy told public television that no decision had yet been made concerning development projects in Budapest using EU 2014-2020 funding.
