Hungary’s Opposition Együtt Suspends Cooperation With Solidarity
The opposition Együtt party has suspended cooperation with the Hungarian Solidarity Movement in response to a statement by Péter Kónya, former Együtt co-leader and head of the Solidarity movement, the party said in a statement.

Kónya said on commercial station ATV that he would like to turn Solidarity into a political party, but “the membership must authorise this with a vote first.”

It is not acceptable that Kónya should talk in public about setting up an independent party when Solidarity members who work in Együtt have a different opinion on this matter, Együtt said, adding that restoring cooperation is a possibility in future.
