After spending his night in a local pub, the man took the bus from the Esztergom bus station in December last year, and drove 11 kilometres to go home to Kesztölc.

According to the Komárom-Esztergom Prosecutor’s Office, the man did not have a driving licence at the time.

The man pleaded guilty to taking the vehicle without consent.

Esztergom’s district attorney’s office has suggested imposing a financial penalty.
