Dutch website Luchtvaartnieu claimed that talks on buying the Hungarian airline are at an advanced stage.

Denying what he called a rumour, Wizz Air CEO József Váradi said “because of our success, Wizz Air receives unsolicited offers from potential investors from time to time”.

Note: A Wizz Air spokesperson contacted XpatLoop.com stating that the airline continues to receive, "Many media queries today following earlier speculation on a Dutch web portal, and so to bring the numerous queries to an end we clarify our position as follows: There are no such discussions currently underway.".
