Hungarian Anthrax Farmer Linked To Fazekas
József Nagy, the man on whose farm anthrax was discovered last week, is a relative newcomer to farming who won land at low rent in a state tender without owning any livestock when he submitted his bid, Népszabadság reports.

According to those who know local conditions, Nagy has good connections to Agriculture Minister Sándor Fazekas and Economy Minister Mihály Varga.

He received a substantial state subsidy for the restoration of a shipbuilding assembly hall in Tiszafüred, with Fazekas in attendance at the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone.

Nagy’s company City Farm won over 250 hectares of land that was formerly part of the Hortobágy National Park in Kócsújfalu, which is part of Tiszafüred in terms of public administration.
