Hungarians Travel Further With Cars

Hungarians now put 16,400km on their odometers a year, on average, 31% more than in 2010, according to a biennial survey by Medián, commissioned by engineering company Bosch. Drivers in the capital travel 19,300km a year on average, up 26% two years earlier.
But the number of kilometres travelled by drivers in smaller municipalities around the country fell to 14,300 from about 15,100.
Hungarians show strong loyalty to their mechanics, returning to the same one for a period of more than six years, on average.
