Marlene, Katona József Theatre Budapest, 7 September
Eva Magyar invites you to her solo performance to be shown in English in Budapest for one night only on 7 September at Kamra @ Katona József Theatre from 7.30 pm.

Using the lightness of cabaret, MARLENE tells the survival story of a 50-something immigrant woman trying to rebuild her life in London. But her story is universal. This show is for everyone who has ever felt like a stranger, or to the contrary, being put in a very familiar box. A box of age, gender, race or wealth. The boxes we all struggle to escape. Marlene’s journey is happening here and now, in front of our very eyes, and how it ends is still unknown.

Let's write a happy ending to MARLENE's story together!

MARLENE has been largely self-funded so far by Eva with a team of artists working for free. Soho Theatre in London expressed a strong interest in booking it but £10,000 needs to be raised in order to finish the show.

Please support the campaign on Indiegogo. Donations start from as low as £5 and perks include free tickets, scripts, pictures, champaign and many more. If enough of us get behind it, we can make the 'London Survival Cabaret' happen: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/london-survival-cabaret/x/8384294
